Rang Mumbai based 6 Piece Hindie Progressive Band 

Rang is a Six member “Hindie” band based out of Mumbai. We specialize in a variety of genres, and are known to create a unique spectrum of sound. Based in Mumbai since late 2008, we have been performing across several venues in Mumbai and across the country, along with churning out work for Movies, Jingles, Short films, Musical scores and Live Music. We are best known for our critically acclaimed work,
interfused with some trademark re-arrangements of mainstream songs.

Rang produces and composes our own music entirely. Our package is comprised of Music, Lyrics and Production for any scale or range of requirements. Rang’s music attempts to bridge the gap between diverse genres of music. Our melodies represent the modern day music lovers interests melted with an Indian element, tapping into the pulse of both the urban crowd and the masses. Very few entities posses the Vocal chemistry that Rang does, and our original lyrics have earned us repute from anyone who has had a chance to experience our compositions. Overall, each member’s unique musical background lends to Rang’s sound and creates a spectrum which connects to the heart of any fan of good music.

Rang released their First Music Video for their Single “Fateh” on 24th February 2013. Rang was also declared the Winners of “MTV Ray Ban Never Hide Sound” for the Popular music category in 2013.

Rang’s members have created music for several Ad Campaigns for brands such as DHFL, UTV, Emami, Center Fresh, Nerolac, Start Plus, Live in jeans, DBS Bank, Chinmaya Mission international, Gitanjali Lifestyle, Linc pen and Lux. They are currently working with several producers to create scores for viral films and short film makers as well.

They’ve also worked Feature Films such as Internationally acclaimed comedy “Love you to death” by Rafiq Elias.
Rang’s members have also created music for T.V. Shows such as Star Plus’s India’s Dancing Stars, and C.I.D. Kolkata

There’s been no looking back. Rang has showcased their work at the ‘Revival of music at Bandstands’ Project organized by Bombay Elektrik Project, ‘Thespo’ at Prithvi Theatre (2009-2011), and the National Music Festival of ‘Ragasthan’ to name a few.
Rang also presented their music for the 35,000 dream runners at the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon for the last two years.

Rang’s accolades include:

* ‘Judges choice’ award in the TOTO Fund for Music Awards, a nationwide independent music hunt organized by Counter Culture Records in 2009.
* Winners of LensFlare Earth Anthem, adjudged by Shantanu Moitra, 2013
* Winners of MTV Ray Ban Never Hide sounds (Pop) 2013

Rang’s work has been doing the rounds on Radio stations like Radio Mirchi, Radio City Freedom Radio, Fever 104 and Jaago Mumbai – making quite an impression on the masses.
