Eclipse Heavy Metal Band from Assam 

Eclipse plays mostly heavy metal & classic rock. The first album “A Mouthful of Moonlight”, which reflects the evolution of the band over the years since its foundation, was released in July 2008. It was very well received by the rock music fraternity of the region and was widely praised by columnists on leading regional newspapers like The Assam Tribune & The Sentinel.

Eclipse now plays – a blend of Hard Rock & Power Metal – a genre which will be best described by the upcoming songs of the second album expected to launch this October.

Eclipse has always been a major act on several Leading Rock Music shows held in the region.

Other accomplishments –
The band featured in an exclusive interview with the DD News as an upcoming band from Northeast in October 2006.

The single number “RISE UP”, came up on CNN IBN (ROCK THE VOTE) in 2009, as a part of voting awareness campaign by the channel. The song was a tribute to the victims of the 30th October serial blasts that rocked the state of Assam in 2008.

To be noted is that, Eclipse is one of the very few bands from the North-East, India sticking together for a very long span of time (13 years as of now) and still playing & promoting Classic Rock and Heavy Metal.
